Vice City
The city at the centre of GTA VI, and the first mainline game set in Vice City since 2002’s Vice City. Rockstar’s pitch: decades on from the ’80s, still the sun and fun capital of America.
© Rockstar GamesVice City is GTA VI’s main city and the anchor of the state of Leonida. Rockstar sells it as the glamour, hustle and greed of America in one place, a long way from the 1980s but still the sun and fun capital of the country.
Rockstar’s profile names several neighbourhoods. Ocean Beach has pastel art deco hotels and white sand. Little Cuba is busy with panaderías. The Tisha-Wocka flea market sells bootleg brands. VC Port, Rockstar says, is the cruise ship capital of the world.
Part of a bigger state
Unlike the 2002 game, Vice City is not the whole map. It is one of six regions Rockstar has named in Leonida, alongside the Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia and Mount Kalaga National Park. Rockstar has not published a full district-by-district breakdown, so we are not presenting one.
