Editorial policy
Before a game launches, the difference between a useful resource and a harmful one is entirely about labelling. This is how we do it.
The rule
We do not publish invented gameplay information. If Rockstar has not said something and we have not verified it in the released game, the page says so. That is less satisfying than a confident answer, and it is the only version of this site worth running.
Confidence labels
Every page carries one of four labels. They appear next to the title, in search results, and in the command palette.
- Confirmed
Officially established by Rockstar Games — a trailer, the Newswire, or an official page.
- Reported
Credible third-party reporting or official footage that has not been described in detail.
- Speculation
Community theory, interpretation or unverified information.
- In-game verified
Checked by our team in the released game.
Placeholder content
Some pages exist to demonstrate a template before there is verified information to put in it — a vehicle page needs a vehicle. Those entries are fictional, visibly labelled “demo content”, and excluded from search engines by two independent mechanisms: anoindex directive and exclusion from the sitemap. They will be replaced, not quietly repurposed.
Sourcing
Claims labelled Confirmed trace to an official source: Rockstar’s own trailers, Newswire and pages, its parent company Take-Two, or a platform holder’s store listing. Claims labelled Reported trace to credible third-party reporting or to official footage that has not been described in detail. Every page lists what it drew on.
Updates
The “Updated” date changes when the content changes. We do not refresh timestamps to look active — a page that has not needed changing should look like a page that has not needed changing.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, we would rather know. Tell us and we will fix it and say what changed.
