GTA 5 PC cheats

Every GTA 5 PC cheat, typed into the cheat box you open with the ~ key, plus the phone numbers and what cheats do to your achievements.

In shortReported

On PC, press the ~ key (the key to the left of 1) during Story Mode to open the cheat box, type the cheat word and press Enter. PAINKILLER makes you invincible, for example. Cheats switch off achievements until you restart the game.

How to enter cheats

  1. 1Load a save in Story Mode. Cheats do not work in GTA Online.
  2. 2Press the ~ key, the one to the left of 1. On UK and some other layouts it is the ¬ key, and some keyboards need Shift as well. Rockstar confirmed this key in its 2015 PC tips.
  3. 3Type the cheat word and press Enter. A message confirms it worked.

  • Some cheats are blocked during missions or in certain places. You will see “Cheat Denied”.
  • Entering most cheats again switches them off.
