In IGN’s interview, Rob Nelson describes a scanner built into the phone that tells you whether a parked car is locked, alarmed or tracked, what it is worth “to a Pay n’ Spray or a specialty car fence,” and what it would cost to register it as your own; from a brief glimpse in the demo, IGN identifies it as an app called Waink. Kinda Funny (via ComicBook), TGG’s app list, Vice’s September 5 summary of creator previews, Kotaku’s round-up and Game Informer’s September 29 cover story (via Outlook Respawn) also report the app. Vice adds that it shows which theft tool a car needs and its tracker tier, and only Kinda Funny, via ComicBook, says it shows how fast you must drive to shake a tracker. Outlets spell the name Waink, WAINK or WAiNK.
